Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain

If you know me at all, you know I love Anthony Bourdain and I am ashamed that it has taken me this long to read his book and that I’ve only read one of his books. It gives a great inside look into not only the culinary world but also a look into his life, with restaurant tips sprinkled in. Bourdain has such a great voice that one wouldn’t expect to be able to so easily translate into a book, though that’s how he got his start after his culinary career. The way he spoke about being a chef and the restaurant business gives his readers an inside look and doesn’t come off as arrogant. He gets down to the nitty gritty of it all, nothing ever scared him and that is the biggest reason I admire Bourdain so much.
