This book is beyond amazing. I laughed and I cried. It’s a long, heavy book but it didn’t seem like it. The book is a compilation of essays written by mainly the two remaining members but they had other people contribute and it has a ton of pictures which I love of course. It gave an in depth look into the Beastie Boys and their early days. I loved reading about their time in New York and all the places they would spend their days. I always found it so interesting to see where these people would frequent before they became famous. They dedicated the book to the third member of the Beastie Boys, MCA aka Adam Yauch, who passed away in 2012 of cancer. The way they wrote about him brought tears to my eyes, he meant so much to them but they are keeping him alive through the stories told in the book.
